I am a registered Primary and Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about supporting children to become independent and confident learners. Dayboro Kindergarten is a very special place where the children get to choose how they spend their days. Through our play-based program we incorporate early numeracy and literacy along with preparing children socially and emotionally for entry into Prep. Seeing the children grow and develop is so rewarding.
I have been working with pre-school aged children since 1992 and hold an Associate Diploma of Education (Child Care), and even attended the Kindergarten myself as a child. In my 11 years working at Dayboro Kindergarten, I have enjoyed supporting our children to develop the skills and confidence to make the transition into schooling. I love that long enduring friendships are formed here, that we have been part of the Dayboro community since 1970 and that the sense of community is still alive and well.
My involvement with Dayboro Kindy started as a kindy parent many years ago and I have since achieved a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Being involved in both the administration and education positions provides me with a unique and comprehensive understanding of our kindergarten management and teaching practices. I believe Dayboro Kindy offers an amazing experience for our children, providing the freedom to be able to explore our whole kindy grounds both inside and out, as well as providing a safe and nurturing environment for our children to be active learners.
